Invulnerability Theory
Invulnerability theory deals with the way to achieve invulnerability from the Not Me.
It discusses the way that Not Me can cause harm to the Me and ways to mitigate or become immune to that Harm. It links to the on of the overall Simplified Life Framework Positions Cloud Castle but extends it seeking to answer the question 'How can I be immune from Harm'.
Harm is the result of negative Resource Transactions between other Resource Nodes as outlined in Resource Theory and the Me and Invulnerability Theory looks at six major ways of mitigating these.
- Fortification. (Defence)
- Counterforce. (Offense)
- Intangibility. (Interaction avoidance)
- Absorption. (Assimilating the harm and neutralising it)
- Reductionism. (Reducing the impact by for example reducing the importance of the target of the harm)
- Containment. (Ring fencing the risk by temporarily or permanently placing it into an alternative mind state/or other containment option that can be isolated)
Each aspect as minimum, subjective, objective, delta and absolute parameters.
In addition each aspect can be 'trained' for in order to prepare the self for threats to come, although sometimes this training itself can be a threat see Looking into the Abyss
Several concepts flow from theses aspects including:-
- Cloud Castle Fortification and Intangibility absolute states.
- The Death Backstop Reductionism absolute state.
- The Soul Backstop also a reductionist absolute state and a possible counter to religions that include punishment after death as part of their doctrine.
- Looking into the Abyss this is the process of allowing exploration of the most hopeless and darkest viewpoints of existence, analysing them in detail and learning how to mitigate their effects.
