Interactive Mindset Axioms (IMA) and Applied Mental Attitudes (AMA)
This topic covers some general Applied Mental Attitudes (AMA) that are employed in interactions with the not me (the outside universe).
It seeks to explore how these AMAs influence Human's in both managing their day to day life and doing extraordinary things such as childbirth, extreme survival situations and acts of heroism and altruism. Understanding the way AMAs manifest and how they can be used can empower the Me to higher levels of self determinism and self awareness as well as maintaining the Happiness Engine in trying circumstances.
For individuals with low Levels of Awareness these AMAs are automatic and culturally, environmentally or biologically (including genetic) programmed responses.
With higher levels of awareness the individual can select an AMA appropriate for a specific interaction event or series of events, potentially modify and redesign it at component level and observe the outcomes these changes engender to optimise the response to those events and thus the Resource Transactions associated them.
Interactive Mindset Axioms (IMA) are the core sub factors that exist in various quantities in specific AMAs.
IMAs can be divided into three general groups, with sub elements of these groups
1. Motivator Group
These are axioms that provide drivers for the AMA and are:-
Stick. The individual is driven to avoid pain / negative resource transactions.
Carrot. The individual is driven to gain pleasure / positive resource transactions.
Compulsion. Some factor that drives the situation forward regardless of the wishes of the individual.
A Motivator IMA is required to ensure continuance of any event, at the very basic level, the progress of time itself is a compulsion motivator.
All the Motivators apart from compulsion can be :- External. They are from outside the Me, for example a volcano is a Motivator to run away fast. Internal. They are from inside the Me, for example the Me wants to achieve something. Note that a driver such as a sense of heroism due to cultural programming is outside the Me, if full control of the Me is the accepted definition. This is why compulsion should also not be possible as an internal driver.
2. Interactor Group These are axioms that determine the level of interactions that the individual has with the events and resource transactions being addressed by the AMA, these include:- Proactive. These are interactions where the individual acts on the event in advance of an incoming interaction. Proactive interactors are rarer then commonly thought because in the modern world we are mostly reactive to events outside the me, be it a ego state that tell us we need to achieve or a notice from the government to comply to some ordinance. Reactive. Probably the most common interactor when we are forced to do something by an external event, anything from dealing with our hunger to completing work or just staying alive. Automatic. The Me rides the machine of the self as discussed elsewhere and the machine is designed to handle interactions without the Me necessarily getting involved. For example in extreme circumstances the body will continue to operate without the Me proactively taking any action or even reacting to such things as hunger. The state of the mind can prevent eating, sleeping and most bodily functions for some time, but in then end automatic processes often kick in and place the individual in autopilot of one form or other.
3.Moderators Group These are axioms provide moderation to the core process of Motivator drives Interactor and can:- 1. Moderate a positive or negative feedback loop where the outcome of an Interactor reduces or enhances a Motivators power. 2. Override the apparent or possible/probable reality of the events and interactions by adding an unquantifiable factor to skew the expected resource transaction (note of course happiness is a resource of type psychological, so someone being happy when all is apparently lost is down to an override Moderator).
Dissociation. This moderator is the process where the AMA includes a denial of relevance to the individual, it is the core IMA of this type of defence and the simplest but also potentially the most dangerous moderator.
Diminishment. This moderator is a specialised form of disassociation, where the individual is not dissociated with the process but with the possible or probable outcomes. It can be anything from The Death Backstop to the i will be saved attitude and Everything is going to Plan Meta-Philosophy. In this respect Hope and Faith Moderators may thus also be associated with this moderator.
Hope. This moderator could be seen as another form of denial but in fact it has always been a core moderator and can be seen as the over dependence on the closure of a Probability Gaps. Curiously enough Probability Gaps do close (both apocryphal and in reality) either because they were never gaps or due to the 'assumed' nature of probability. So there is a reasonable probability that a Probability Gap will close and thus there is reason for hope.
Faith. This moderator is potential a form of Hope, but it will depend on the Faith landscape of the individual, absolute faith is faith in an external force (be it God or the cavalry) that will intervene in the events or situation. Those with Faith or who can call upon Faith have access to a unique set of AMA.
Rebellion. This moderator is epitomised by calling a 'FOULMA' Fuck Off Universe Leave Me Alone a basic refusal to cooperate, be instructed, manipulated or moderated, regardless of the actual or intentional positive or negative immediate, intended or final resource transactions. The ultimate assertion of individuality and resistance and a useful mental state to cultivate.
Finally the next moderators relate to the enhancement of self autonomy and are generally self-directed moderators, but could also be a built in capability of some individuals or a useful error.
Multithreading This moderator is the ability to be aware of the different moderators and apply several at the same time, effectively achieving the AMA by basing it on for example Hope and Faith (with different possible drivers) and maintaining a fall-back of Diminishment and rebellion. This thus allows the AMA to drive the IMAs rather then the other way round. I want an AMA and I will make it work regardless. This is a Supra-agnostic tool.
Dynamic adaption This is similar to multi threading but is generally linear or at least with a preferred option. When that option is exhausted then the next option switches in. In fact this can be managed by an external actor for example an officer of a besieged military unit may first deploy Carrot, Proactive, Faith and when that fails, Stick, Reactive, hope. Dynamic adaption probably occurs in most critical situations although this is at the lowest level where it is to support an AMA, rather then a change in the AMA itself.
Applied Mental Attitudes (AMA)Bold text are the mental frameworks that can be adopted or are automatically adopted to deal with interactions with the not me.
It is possible that individuals will move through AMAs as the events progress and evolve also to some degree apply several AMAs at the same time (Supra agnostics can as a matter of philosophy) Examples are (and possible interactions that they apply to):-
Suffer Until Completion Big text
This is characterise by experiencing perceived negative resource transactions for a period of time but being aware that there is a completion point, the completion point can be just the end or be linked with anticipate secondary Benefit.
