Controlling the Body

One of the major challenges of being Human is controlling the Human Body or the vehicle that we ride.

It is an amazing thing although comes with a host of problems explained away by many different theories and ideas from it being a system designed to present us with moral challenges to an organism evolved for a different time, diet and social and technological environment.

One thing is certain it is prone to:-

  1. Unwanted or badly timed Emotional and sexual urges.
  2. Inappropriate Hunger and dietary control (need versus wants).
  3. Problematic addictive and pleasure generation bio-feedback loops.
  4. Genetic and systemic problems, including imbalances.
  5. Poor energetic control (tiredness)
  6. Disease
  7. Old age and Death

It is the physical fortifications against the not me, those fortifications are flawed and will eventually fail. On the way to the inevitable failure it will present us with many challenges to overcome and most of them will have a moral or psychological component.

As a Race after several thousand years we are still learning how to maintain it, improve it and repair it and some new idea manifests as to the latest diet or exercise idea etc every few weeks (Many based on selling products rather then any proven science)

Is it fit for purpose? Well depends on the purpose but probably not, that's is why we have billions invested in ways of making it more fit.

Are there some meta-rules for Controlling the Body so it serves the self rather then the other way round.
